Aston Martin Vantage Road Trip to France | Wine tasting | Driving Review

Wine Review
Me and my wife attempt our first road trip to Europe (just France this time) in preparation for a longer summer road trip to Monaco. I was keen to take the GT8 (complete with its Modball Stickers from the Modball UK rally) but my wife wasn’t keen! Instead we decided to take the subtle and sedate Aston Martin V8 Vantage – a good way to really put some miles on it!

Firstly, what a trip and what an Aston Martin! The new Vantage is truly phenomenal on some beautiful driving roads! We really did sail from Calais to Dijon in about 5 hours on fantastic, open toll roads. It was actually my first time on the Eurotunnel and, again, this was a great experience – UK to France in only 35 minutes! Ironically, the longest part of our drive was on the return journey, from Folkestone back home through the Dartford Tunnel!

In this video I detail the European road requirements, explaining the different things that you need to carry with you at all times on a road trip, as well as reviewing the driving experience of the Aston.

We travel from the UK to Calais and on to Beaune, near Dijon, passing through Reims and the Champagne region and on to Burgundy to taste some fantastic wines in some lovely Chateaux.
